DMin - Doctor of Ministry Degree Program

Welcome From the Program Director

Dear Prospective Doctoral Students,

Grace to you, and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ! It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the official web page of the Beulah Heights University Doctor of Ministry degree program. The purpose of this degree is to provide advanced professional training to those who are currently or have been engaged in parish and para-church ministry. This degree is a 36 semester-hour program designed to help leaders and religious professionals reinvigorate their spiritual, practical, and intellectual vitality.

BHU’s DMin is a professional degree in the practice of ministry. The program invites its students to analyze current methods, explore new paradigms, and develop ministerial competencies that will address the challenges of this post-modern, global era. Because of the increasing complexity of leadership in the 21st century, it is imperative that ministry professionals augment their skills with advanced training to address the difficulties of serving in a pluralistic, global context.

Therefore, the DMin at BHU is a meticulously crafted program of study built upon a rigorous curriculum that is geared toward developing spiritual and intellectual Christian leaders. We seek to train leaders who will wrestle with the challenging issues of our day, those who will search out the truth of scripture, the fruit of time-honored ministry practices, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit for innovation and new approaches. To accomplish this objective, BHU’s program combines the discipline of prayer, the rigors of academic inquiry, and relevant ministry techniques.

The DMin program offers students the opportunity to:

  • Evaluate their current ministry context and prepare for future effectiveness in the 21st century
  • Formulate a template that will guide their ministerial service to the church and in the marketplace.
  • Participate in cohorts with friends that are led by facilitators who are ministry and leadership professionals.
